Shashi’s
parents live in Samastipur in Bihar. Her mother is a housewife and her father
is a doctor who retired as the head of Homeopathy and Pathology departments at
Hindustan Fertilizer Complex- Barauni. Dr S. S. Prasad also holds a degree in law.
Shashi has two brothers and two sisters. Her brothers, Sushil and Sudhir, live
in the United States and are associated with Georgia State University and
Compaq Computers, respectively. Elder sister Sharda is in the US too where her
husband Mukesh works for Ford. The youngest of all, Sucheta, is hoping to be top lawyer one
day, and to this end, is pursuing her LLB from BHU.
Rajesh’s
mother is a housewife too. His father is an engineering graduate from Bihar
College of Engineering, Patna.
Mr. S K Prasad was with HEC, Ranchi in the earlier part of his career. He
joined Indian Telecom Service in the sixties and since has been with the
Department of Telecom (Now Department of Telecom Services) since then. He did
his MBA from IGNOU in 1990. Mathematics remains his favourite subject. They live in
Bhopal.
Rajesh
has a younger brother, Ratnesh, who is with Cognizant Tech and is currently in
Florida, US. Sister Shilpi is a graduate in Mathematics from BHU who is into
the second year of her MCA at HVPM, Amravati, Maharashtra. She aspires to
program world’s first biogenic chip in collaboration with Shashi!
